Planet nomads demo11/7/2023 ![]() ![]() You may want to contact them and see if you can come to an agreement:īesides that, i have made a thread about your game, and added it to the gog community wishlist.Īll in all pretty good chance this game will make it here. In fact, they introduced 'Games in development' a few days ago, where you can buy into development titles : Regarding frequent updates, i don't think Gog is going to have any problems with this - and their Galaxy client is handling frequent updates quite well. The more channels for Planet Nomads the better. Well it's mostly for the Early Access, with frequent updates and all, not sure if GoG can handle that? For the final game, with the frequency of updates getting to a normal level, that will be done for sure. :PĪnother update with reply from Daniel (Craneballs) regarding my message in the post above: Planet Nomads is a singleplayer sci-fi sandbox game of survival on alien planets through block-style building. Now it is time for others who are interested in this, to put the persuadertrons to good use. I think i've done my part :) - and there's a good chance. If you had offered a client and drm free variant during this kickstarter, i would have backed it right away - But as it is now, it is a 'wait and see' if this title gets released outside Steam. I would save and then try building it in the game. I would make another blueprint, copy the code, and paste at the end of the first one and then change the indices of the blocks of the pasted code. You will have a larger target audience that way too. Then, I opened the file with the code, analyzed where the block construction began and ended. Since you already released the construction demo as a free download with no steam requirement for all platforms, it would make sense to also make the finished game available through gog and the other stores. It's nice to know that you're not against a drm free variant - but a steam only approach still prevents me and many other individuals who dislike Steam, Valve, and their subscription model, from backing your kickstarter campaign. Other stores coming later down the road, once we get out of Early Access. ![]() So if Steam allows offline play / DRM-FREE publishing, it will be DRM-FREE there. But are generally not against a DRM-FREE version. We haven't really researched alternative stores like GoG, etc. ![]()
